Check out how he steamrolls the opposition.

Dragon’s Crown is the spiritual successor to Princess Crown, but as far as Atlus is concerned, it’s business as usual given how they’ve already two great side-scrolling fantasy action RPGs in Odin Sphere and Muramasa. Today, they showcased some gameplay footage which focused on the Fighter class.

The Fighter, dressed in knightly armour and pretty buffed up beyond normal enemy standards, is a slow moving tank who can utilize dash attacks and spinning slices to carve up enemies. It appears he can go down if too over-whelmed but is the main attacking force of the team who can take it to any enemy. Standing up to the Medusa-like and Dragon bosses at some points also outlines the Fighter’s effectiveness.

Dragon’s Crown, as of now, is slated to release this year for PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3. It is being developed by Atlus and VanillaWare, with the former and Sony Computer Entertainment publishing the game. Along with the fighter, there will be six other player classes to choose from.
