One of the many new quests in Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen involves tracking down ‘The Truant Soldier’. As a relatively simple rescue mission, the only difficulty lies in finding its subject, Amos, in the first place.

Where To Find Amos
Amos appeared to have wandered off while the soldiers were working on shifting the rubble at the stronghold. Chrona fears he may have gotten himself stranded in the Norgan Snowfield.
The first clue is in the quest description itself, so make your way to the Norgandian Snowfield in Norgan, north-east of the Mountain Stronghold. Take the lift within the fort down to the bottom, and proceed north-east again, till you hear Amos’ cries for help.
Once you get a visual on him, you will see that he is beset by enemies, so quickly taunt them towards you and your party instead. As soon as every last enemy is dispatched, Amos’ dialogue will begin and the mission will change objectives again.
Return to the Northwall Campground where Amos has stationed himself in the back of the cave, and speak with him to wrap things up tidily. Rewards include:

- 25,000 G
- 35,000 XP
