Rift Crystals are one of the three currencies in Dragon’s Dogma 2, that you will be juggling the management of, over the course of the game. These Rift Crystals (RC) are critical for the purpose of recruiting more high-level Pawns at the various Riftstones, as well as a handful of cosmetic purchases. In turn, you can hire out your own Pawns at these very same Riftstones for rewards. So, let’s get a look at how to farm these Rift Crystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Find Riftstones

The very act of discovering and activating a Riftstone will grant you a quantity of Rift Crystals so you can actually make use of the stone’s facilities. Of course, there are a limited number of Riftstones overall, and once you have found them all, this method will cease to be a source of more Rift Crystals. But the act of exploring and examining Riftstones is great for an early injection of Rift Crystals which you can then invest into the next method.

Share Pawns

At the Riftstones, not only can you recruit Pawns for your use, you can also hire out your own Pawn for the benefit of other players, in exchange for Rift Crystals as well as any other rewards at the discretion of the hiring player. This can become a thriving source of Rift Crystal income, if your Pawn is enticing enough by being especially well trained and equipped. The online features of Dragon’s Dogma 2 must be turned on in order to use this feature, and you will likely have been prompted regarding this when you loaded up the game the first time. Rest for the Pawn to embark on their quest.

Treasure Chests

Rift Crystals are a rare drop from chests, and as such you will probably be pleasantly surprised when you get them, if at all. On the other hand, they do come in a large one-time chunk, to make up for that rarity. All in all, not a very reliable source for farming Rift Crystals, but a welcome bonus all the same.

Combat

The worst of the farming methods is killing enemies for Rift Crystals. The drop rate is so bad that you will likely massacre many monsters and not come close to the amount earned from a single reward for repairing a broken Riftstone, for example. Consider Rift Crystal drops from monster-slaying a happy bonus to whatever else that drops along with it.

That’s everything you can do to quickly amass a fortune of Rift Crystals in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
