Draw Something craze fizzles out

Posted By | On 03rd, May. 2012

It looks like Zynga might have made a mistake in acquiring Draw Something developer, OMGPOP. Reason? Decline in userbase. And that’s a big thing considering the app was no. 1 on the iOS Store and selling by the millions.

BBC News, WebMediaBrands data has revealed that almost 5 million daily users have left the game, and whichever way you look at it, that’s a huge amount of people.

This is the thing with casual audience; they always go to the next big thing. The developer of the app, OMGPOP cost a massive $200 million for Zynga, and considering they posted a loss last quarter, this isn’t something they would take lightly.
