The number is probably lower than expected.

Dreams is looking to be both a game as well as a game creator. It’s an ambitious idea and one that is an accumulation of developer Media Molecule’s creation based titles. How viable is the idea, though? Well, the game is in early access now and we have an idea of how many people are playing it, and it’s not a big number as of right now.

In the latest AIAS Game Maker’s Notebook podcast Media Molecule Communications Manager Abbie Heppe revealed that the game now has roughly 100,000 players that the developer is taking feedback on.

The number isn’t a particularly high one when you consider the the low budget of entry, and the amount of time the early access has been available. You would think with the game recreating so many other popular games would give it a little more spotlight. The game is potentially coming out soon as well, so hopefully a full release will garner more attention.
