DriveClub’s moment to moment gameplay may be fantastic, but the issues with its difficulty curve make it difficult to stick with the single player progression through to the end- it can get extremely unforgiving later on. Many a player have probably just given up on the single player after hitting a wall with their progress being stalled due to an event that was simply too difficult.

A new DriveClub update is incoming that should address this issue– it will let players adjust difficulty for individual levels, meaning if you find something too difficult, you should be able to tone it down a little, and if you find something too easy, you should be able to bump it up to a satisfying level of challenge.

No date for the patch has been announced yet, but given Evolution’s excellent post launch support for the game so far, it can’t be too far off. We’ll keep you posted.
