Talk about attention to detail.
New screenshots and videos for DriveClub, shared by Evolution Studios’ Paul Rustchynsky on Twitter, show off tire deformation in DriveClub. So I suppose it is now safe to assume that this will be coming to DriveClub some time soon.
Of course, this is a rather pointless update- the game already simulates tire deformation in gameplay, so this is purely aesthetic. I suppose if you ever slow down enough in a racing game and then stare at your tires, it’s a nice touch.
Rustchynsky also teased a “great update” coming in December, with “great free content,” which sounds about right- for all of DriveClub’s problems, post launch support has not been one of them, and Evolution Studios has been unusually good in supporting the title and building a community.
Whenever we learn more about this upcoming update, we will let you know. Stay tuned to GamingBolt.
One of the details you already know about is tire deformation for cars. Great for those who love taking photos. pic.twitter.com/tTk9wCnyXQ

#DRIVECLUB tire deformation can of course be seen during gameplay, but just like in real-life its a subtle effect. pic.twitter.com/ZxcL9RJzyD

@kennyuk77 It's purely a visual effect (we already did the physics simulation prior to adding this)
