Currently in closed beta, gamers will have a chance to go hands-on with the F2P title.
Despite not being one of the heaviest hitting shooters in the world, CCP Games’ Dust 514 is certainly one of the most interesting. It went from being a multiplatform, MMO shooter to a free-to-play Playstation 3 exclusive (still a shooter though). And at this year’s Eurogamer Expo, attendees will have a chance to go hands-on with the game.
Developed on Unreal Engine 3, Dust 514 has been in closed beta for a while. Attending the expo will give gamers a chance to try out some of the interesting new features, such as aerial bombardment, the equipment expiry, skill sets and more.
Though the game has a lot to compete with – let’s not forget MAG and other online FPS shooters for PS3 – it’s combination of run-and-gun action with persistent online universe should make it a winner. It’s already free-to-play, which presents an advantage over other such titles.
Eurogamer Expo 2012 will be held at London’s Earls Court from September 27th-30th 2012
