While Techland’s Dying Light 2 has been faring pretty well since its launch earlier in the month, the game has had its fair share of bugs and glitches, some of them being serious and often game-breaking. Fortunately, Techland has been addressing the problems and swiftly patching up the game. Similarly, the developers recently released a new patch for the game.
Announced via their Steam community page, the game has received its new patch 1.0.6 on PC. The patch fixes the annoying death-loop bug, which respawned players at a random portion of a map during a quest, essentially making it impossible to reach the mission area within the given time and blocking the progress. Apart from that fix, Techland has also added a backup save system that allows players to roll back the game progress to a secure storyline save point, and added support for block, active landing, and jump attack key rebindings on the keyboard.
In the meanwhile, Techland has shared their plans for the game post-release, and it is pretty comprehensive, given that they want to support the game for the next five years. Recently, they also released free DLC for the game, which is available now.
PATCH NOTES:
- Fix for the death-loop bug. It prevents players from new cases and fixes the existing ones.
- Added Backup Save system that allows players to rollback the game progress and their inventory to the last game’s secure storyline save point.
- Added support for the BLOCK, ACTIVE LANDING, and JUMP ATTACK rebindings on the keyboard.
