While Techland’s Dying Light 2 is weeks away from getting released on February 4 of this year, it seems the original game is still getting love from the developers, as they are ensuring that the players are kept busy till the time they wait for its sequel to drop.

Through a trailer, Techland has announced that Dying Light will be getting an in-game event, called Spike’s Story: Last Call this month. The event takes place right after the end of the original game’s ending and will put players up to the task of rescuing any survivors in the city and bring them to a safe shelter, at the behest of Spike. The event takes place after Rais is defeated, and his goons takes over the city of Harran raiding a shelter with survivors, in turn increasing the viral count.

Through an official update, Techland confirms that the event will run in two parts. Part 1 of the event will run from January 24 to January 28, and upon completion of the three bounties, you will be rewarded with a weapon called Crankshaft, a blueprint for Last Hope, and three king mods respectively.

Speaking of more Dying Light, Techland recently announced that their upcoming sequel Dying Light 2 will be receiving post-launch support for the next five years at they very least. They have also confirmed that the main story of the upcoming open-world zombie game will take roughly 20 hours to complete.

Check out the trailer of the new event in Dying Light below. Spike’s Story: Last Call’s first part is now live.
