Dynasty Warriors 9 Arrives in Early 2018, New Gameplay Trailer Revealed

North America and Europe will receive the Musou title in early 2018 as well.

Koei Tecmo debuted some new footage and details about Dynasty Warriors 9, revealing the game’s overall visual style and action. If you’ve played a Musou game till now, you’ll know what to expect. Still, it’s fun to see ye olde Dynasty Warriors and it’s crowd brawling built specifically for the new generation of consoles. Check it out below.

The publisher also confirmed that Dynasty Warriors 9 would release exclusively in Japan for PS4 in early 2018. However, Western games could also look forward to the game in early 2018 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Dynasty Warriors 9 adds quite the feature set to the series’ established formula. China is now an open world that can be freely traversed by boat, horseback or on foot. There are the usual cities and towns, and it’s possible to stealthily infiltrate enemy forts using a grappling hook. A dynamic weather system, day-night cycle and revised movesets for characters is also being promised.
