Dynasty Warriors 9

Koei Tecmo has announced that Dynasty Warriors 9 will be releasing on February 13th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The latest in the Musou-style series will be making a number of changes by going open world for the first time. In a new video, we also learn about some of the main features including Key Missions, Linked Missions, capturing bases and much more.

Crafting weapons and preparing food for temporary buffs to one’s strength, defense, speed and so on will also be provided. To craft weapons, you’ll need to gather materials and the correct scrolls – as one might expect, one weapon may require a number of scrolls to craft. You can receive scrolls through missions or as drops from enemies. Then there are Gems which can be imbued into weapons for additional benefits like elemental damage.

Those who pre-order Dynasty Warriors 9 from January 29th will receive three Xbox/PlayStation Avatars – Lu Bu, Zhou Tai and Wang Yuanji; the Black Dragon Fang weapon along with other bonus items; and seven costumes for characters like Zhao Yun. Pre-order the Digital Deluxe Edition and you get all of this, the Season Pass and three additional weapons.
