Less than a month after launch, Omega Force’s Dynasty Warriors: Origins has crossed one million sales. Koei Tecmo America also confirmed that the free demo has seen over two million downloads. Available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, Origins bucks series’ trends by offering a new protagonist.

As a nameless hero during the Three Kingdoms era, he teams with various legendary warriors to battle and can even align with states like Shu Han, Cao Wei, and Eastern Wu. Though it only covers the novel’s first half, the signature Dynasty Warriors combat is retained.

Players can utilize different weapons and equip or engage in tactics with their troops to overwhelm the opposition. You can also temporarily control your companion for brief moments.

For more details on Dynasty Warriors: Origins, check out our review, where we gave it an eight out of ten, praising the voice work, replay value, and combat. Koei Tecmo hasn’t confirmed if there will be any additional DLC following the positive reception, but stay tuned for future announcements.
