E3 2010: MGS: Rising gets new footage

Hideo Kojima made another appearance at MS’ E3 conference to reveal some new footage for Metal Gear Solid: Rising. The game, as he says, is based on the Japanese art of Zan-Datsu, which translates to “Cut and Take.”

The video showed a montage of fast-paced sword based action, with Raiden really upping the ante as far as brutal action is concerned. Seems like the game is gunning squarely at stuff like God of War. Raiden cuts his way through hordes of enemies in a rusted factory. Later, the video shows slow motion, Matrix style sword based action, as Raiden cuts his enemies into pieces.
