E3 2010: Some Highlights You May Have Missed

Posted By | On 29th, Jun. 2010

E3 2010 has come and gone, but for those of you who were not there or just have not gone digging for everything shown there this year, here are some highlights of the convention you may have not seen.  First up we have the third-person shooter Vanquish, which comes out for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 this October.  After watching some of the gameplay, I’m sure you can agree that this game screams awesome.  The story is set in the near future with the US and Russia fighting over the earths depleting energy.  The mechanics look new and unique while they still feel smooth and familiar.  The game makes use of a cover system as well adding the super dash ability as seen in the video.

Next up is some Fable 3 gameplay.  The game looks similar to Fable 2 but seems to have really added on the whole social interaction part of the game.  Fable 3 is due out this holiday season for the Xbox 360 and PC.

Bioshock fans would have been impressed with the life size Big Daddy there along with a little sister and other Bioshock props shown in a case.

The Castevania saga will now finally be continued in 3D with Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.  It is currently set to be released this holiday season for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.  Check out some gameplay below.

Sonic returns in Sonic the Hedgehog 4 looking his best as they bring the series back to its original platform mechanic.  Here is some Sonic the Hedgehog 4 gameplay.  It is set to be released this year for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, iPhone and iPad.

The Harry Potter series has almost fully completed its goal of overtaking the world.  Here you can see the cast of films entirely made of LEGOS to promote the new Lego Harry Potter game.  Lego Harry Potter is now available for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, PC, DS and PSP.
