E3 2012: 3DS revision to be announced, Wii U to be priced at 30,000 Yen- Rumour

Posted By | On 04th, Jun. 2012

According to Nikkei, Nintendo will be announcing a larger 3DS revision and the Wii U’s price at their E3 conference tomorrow (Andriasang). Nintendo will apparently be announcing a new 3DS revision titled 3DS +, and it will have a 4.3 inch screen, and will be 1.5 times the size of the original 3DS.

The revision could come out in North America, Europe and Japan as early as this Summer itself.

The rumour also said that Nintendo will finally announce the Wii U’s price. The Wii U will supposedly be priced at 30,000 Yen in Japan, which roughly converts to $300. Considering the specs for the Wii U, that is a very, very reasonable launch price.

Non gaming services and apps, like a car navigator, books, and a karaoke service with around 10,000 songs will also be announced for the Wii U.

Stay tuned to GB for when we kick off our live stream and live blog of the Nintendo E3 presser tomorrow.
