E3 2012: Assassin’s Creed 3 naval combat gameplay footage is mind blowing

Posted By | On 05th, Jun. 2012

During Sony’s E3 conference today, Ubisoft revealed something from Assassin’s Creed 3 that none of us expected to see- naval combat. And this was no cheap mini-game or a separate mode. No, this was a full blown section from the game, and it looked amazing. It showed naval combat better than… let’s say Pirates of the Caribbean.

The visuals, first of all, looked astounding. The footage showed a full fledged battle between naval forces in the middle of a raging storm. You can take control of an entire ship as Connor, and control cannons and all its other functions.

At the end of the trailer, Connor jumped across to the enemy ship, equipping his tomahawk.

There’s a lot more to the demo. Have a look at it yourself, it’s given above.
