Microsoft chose to end its E3 with Call of Duty. Sony chose to end with The Last of Us. Ubisoft ended with Watch_Dogs.
Nintendo ended its conference with Nintendo Land.
A ‘theme park’ of sorts, Nintendo Land is Nintendo’s new IP for the Wii U that takes full advantage of the system’s capabilities in such a way so as to showcase them to the new customer, similar to Wii Sports for the Wii. It has multiple ‘attractions,’ including those based on Zelda, Donkey Kong, Luigi’s Mansion, and Animal Crossing.
It might even be fun. It just should not have been given such an inordinately large portion of Nintendo’s conference.
