EA introduces MicroBot

Posted By | On 18th, Oct. 2010

EA today announced that they are working on a new arcade-style shooter known as Microbot which will be releasing in Winter 2011 for XBLA and PSN.

The game offers a unique gameplay experience taking players inside the human body, challenging them to control a microscopic ship – a MicroBot- on a mission to destroy a biotechnological infestation.

“We wanted to take gamers to a place they have rarely visited before — the world inside the human body. The fluid dynamics of the world and the customization of the MicroBot come together to create a unique take on the arcade shooter genre”, said Jason Haber of Electronic Arts. “MicroBot is an energetic and addictive game that is perfect for anyone that plays games on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.”

The game will also feature co-op multiplayer where players can drop in and out of games. They can also upgrade their Microbots simultaneously in the game’s co-op editor for creating the ultimate MicroBot team.

The game is being developed by Naked Sky Entertainment. You can get more on the game over here
