EA Is ‘Very Happy With Bioware’

EA's expectations for the Mass Effect franchise remain strong.

Mass Effect Andromeda was a major underperformer for Bioware- the game was trashed critically en masse (unfairly, we felt), and it underwhelmed with its commercial performance, too. However, speaking in a financial call, EA spoke in defense of the studio, pointing out that it is still very happy with it, and with the Mass Effect IP as well.

According to DualShockers, EA is very happy with the studio’s work, and how it is handling Mass Effect, and its expectations for the franchise remain strong- this is actually some good news, because it indicates that in spite of Andromeda, EA intends on continuing the franchise. There were very many fans who were afraid that, much like with Dead Space and Burnout, EA would kill the series due to the new game’s underperformance.

Mass Effect Andromeda is currently available on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Make sure to check out our review of the game.
