EA Looks to go ‘Authentic’ With Just Announced FIFA 2011

Posted By | On 09th, Jun. 2010

True to tradition, EA has announced the next edition in the long running bestselling football sim FIFA series. However, apparently, EA have taken some complaints to heart, as this newer title will not just be an update of the rosters, stadia and stats, but rather, will feature substantial new features that might go on to define the FIFA series and to differentiate it from the other football simulators on the market.

The draw this time around is Personality+, a feature which distinguishes individual footballers from one another by utilizing a database that evaluates and grades each player’s skill-set over 36 attributes and 57 traits. Simply put, a player’s individual traits will all be defined, so that even two players with similar stats will perform differently and uniquely on the field. As always, you can expect the same courtesy to be extended to custom made players as well.

Additional new features include Pro Passing, where the proficiency of passing on the field varies by a player’s dexterity in handling the control pad, as well as with the intensity and the urgency of a match.

FIFA 2011 is slated to release this fall for the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii, DS, iPhone and mobile. We’ll keep you posted on this as it develops.
