According to an interview, EA has said that the 2007 super hit game, The Orange Box was a challenge situation on the PlayStation 3 and the version did not lived up to their expectations. The game which consisted of Half Life, Team Fortress and Portal was highly successful commercially and critically on the Xbox 360 and the PC, but had a bad showing on the PlayStation 3. Later on Valve themselves said that the PS3 version was a “stepchild version” and they did not put their “best foot forward for the PlayStation 3 community”.
