Following the massive success of last year’s iteration, EA Sports College Football 26 looks to build on it in almost every way. In a new deep dive video, the developer went over the sequel’s playbook expansion, new Archetypes, and more. Check it out below.
There are over 2,800 new plays this time around and more than 45 new formations alongside 10 new Archetypes. The total number of abilities is raised to 84, with existing options rebalanced. Furthermore, they’ll scale based on a player’s performance. If that wasn’t enough, a hot player can upgrade their Platinum tier abilities to Heisman tier, where they can effectively take over the game.
Other notable features include Dynamic Substitutions that won’t interrupt the flow of the game, new Block Steering to direct your blocking, and 12 types of Stunts for diversifying your control and pass rush.
