Earth Defense Force 6

During the D3 Publisher’s stream at today’s TGS, developer Sandiot has now released new gameplay footage for its upcoming action game Earth Defense Force 6. Check out the video below for more details on the title.

The trailer for the game showcases some slick action sequences, featuring multiple characters. The trailer also showed off shots of the environments, which are of course, dilapidated and destroyed, as they would be in a post-apocalypse. The trailer is in Japanese, so a lot of the story details can’t be discerned without the use of transcription tools, but the action is there for everyone to gawk at.

Earth Defense Force 6‘s gameplay is looking fun, although its visuals are certainly sub-par when compared to other games contemporary currently in development- though then again, that’s always been EDF’s way. The game releases sometime in 2022, and PS4 and PS5 are confirmed as release platforms as of now. There’s still no confirmation of a western release, although its widely speculated that a localized version will be coming some time later after its Japanese launch.
