EB Games Leaks Final Fantasy VII Remake for Xbox One

Victory fanfare for Xbox fans.

To be fair, when the Final Fantasy VII Remake was finally announced at Sony’s exclusive, it was announced with a billing of it being playable first on PlayStation 4- with the implication being that it would eventually be available on other platforms too. So speculation about other SKUs shouldn’t necessarily come as much of a surprise, though the more substantial rumors are probably reason enough to take pause, as they might indicate that the release on other systems will be closer to the PS4 release than previously thought.

Which of those categories this news fall under, I leave it for you to decide. EB Games Australia seems to have listed Final Fantasy VII Remake for the Xbox One. Personally, I think they are just covering their bases here, in that they are assuming it will eventually come to Microsoft’s console, so why not list it, really?

Me, I am not too sure it will. While I am sure it won’t be staying exclusive to PS4, I could easily see it just releasing on PC, and that being it- it wouldn’t be too surprising to me if that happened.
