eFootball Will Add Cross-Play Support This Winter, but Master League isn’t Coming Until 2023

More playable teams will also be added to the free-to-play title by the end of the year, but they will arrive as paid DLC.

eFootball had a disastrous launch last year, but with some updates since then – including a full 1.0 launch earlier this year – Konami has been attempting to bring the game up to an acceptable level of quality. Currently, one of several issues with the game is a lack of important features and content, and recently. Konami provided an update on when to expect some of that.

The coming months will see eFootball receiving new features and content, both for free and in the form of paid premium DLC. Where free upcoming content is concerned, Konami is looking to add the Lobby Match feature sometime after Summer, while Winter will see the addition of some editing features, as well as full cross-platform play across PC and consoles.

Paid content is also expected to be added to the game in the coming months, such as new playable teams coming by the end of 2022. That said, Master League – a long mainstay of Pro Evolution Soccer that essentially serves as the series’ single player career mode – won’t be arriving until sometime in 2023, so those looking forward to that are going to have to quite some time.

eFootball is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
