Continuing its coverage of FromSoftware’s Elden Ring, Game Informer has released gameplay footage of a brand new area. Liurnia of the Lakes, as the name implies, is water-heavy and possesses a number of unique enemies along with some interesting sights and sounds. Check it out below.

Along with showcasing weapons like the spear and whip in combat, we also get to see one of the new spells. Upon casting it, the enemy loses track of the player which allows for an easy backstab. There’s also an interesting little quest that involves following a spirit, tracking its ethereal footsteps to an elevator that leads to a massive mine.

Elden Ring is out on February 25th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. For more gameplay footage, check out this video of Castle Mourne, one of the larger optional dungeons that players can explore. Though the main route takes about 30 hours to complete, producer Yasuhiro Kitao says there’s “many dozens more hours’ worth of gameplay” to be had.
