After releasing its latest trailer for Elden Ring Nightreign, showcasing the Raider, FromSoftware provided a follow-up to further detail his abilities. Offering a mix of slow, heavy strikes and tankiness, the Raider has the passive “Fighter’s Resolve,” which prevents him from being knocked down while Retaliate is in action.
Retaliate is an active skill – a wind-up punch that can stagger “even the largest enemies,” thus opening them up to critical strikes. Totem Stella is his Ultimate, creating a massive tombstone that damages nearby enemies. Its purpose is to provide high ground for allies to rain down death.
The fact that some enemies’ range doesn’t extend as far makes it a temporary haven. Of course, the Raider can use it to leap back into the fray and execute a powerful jumping attack.
Elden Ring Nightreign launches on May 30th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and PS4. It features eight playable Nightfarers, each with unique abilities. Head here to see the Ranger-like Ironeye in action.
