There’s no shortage of major games coming out in 2020 and beyond, but without a doubt one of the biggest upcoming releases has to be FromSoftware’s Elden Ring. Combining the style of Dark Souls with writing from George R.R. Martin, while also boasting an open world – a first for FromSoftware – it looks to have all the ingredients to become a monumental success.

As exciting as it all sounds, we don’t really know when exactly Elden Ring will be released. First announced at E3 2019, the game doesn’t really have a release date (or even a window)- but FromSoftware themselves might have let that slip. Recently, the developer shared a New Year’s card on its official website, which also mentions the upcoming Elden Ring, and claims it will be “released in June.”

Considering that June is merely months away, if this is indeed accurate and not just a mistake on From’s part, we should expect an announcement not long from now. Then again, there’s the distinct possibility that this is a mistake, so take this with a grain of salt for now. Either way, stay tuned to GamingBolt, and we’ll keep you updated on any new info that comes our way.
