Elden Ring - Shadow of the Erdtree_07

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree’s new region, the Realm of Shadow, is massive. As you discover Map Fragments, one piece may elude you. It’s in the Abyssal Woods, which takes some work to reach.

How to Find the Hidden Coffin and the Abyssal Woods

Go to the Shadow Keep, and from its Main Gate Plaza Site of Grace, walk forward till you see some boats on fire. Don’t take the stairs – instead, continue and look for a ladder on the left. Go down and walk through a nearby waterfall to take another ladder down.

The next room has a painting – hit the wall on the right with torches to reveal a hidden path. Walk forward to the edge to find the coffin. Hop inside to reach the Castle Watering Hole.

Exit to a new area, the Ruins of Unte, where various Furnace Golem remains are found. One will rise and fight, but you can keep moving forward.

Stick to the left-hand side until the Recluses’ River Upstream Site of Grave appears. Use Torrent to platform across and continue to the Recluses’ River Upstream Grace. Go to the left and jump down the platforms, leading to an angry Hippopotamus. Fight it or keep going down and head southeast to find the Darklight Catacombs entrance.

Visibility is poor, so use a torch or lamp and progress through this area until you reach an elevator. It leads to a boss – Jori, Elder Inquisitor – but defeat him, and the Abyssal Woods is right head.

You can check the video below for the complete walkthrough on how you can reach Abyssal Woods.
