Elden Ring has been circling the rumor mills yet again following reports that it could be showcased soon. With the first trailer debuting at Microsoft’s E3 2019 show, perhaps the next will appear at the company’s rumored event this month. Xbox games marketing GM Aaron Greenberg stated on Twitter, however, that this isn’t happening.

“Just to set expectations: this is not happening. There are always things we have in the works, but nothing coming soon that would feature game announcements or world premieres like this.” This tweet indicates one of two things – that there’s no event coming up, or at least not one of such a large scale. And if it’s the latter, then Elden Ring wouldn’t be making an appearance.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that the open world action RPG won’t have some kind of update this month. It’s very likely that FromSoftware drops a new trailer out of the blue. Then again, given the rumors of it possibly happening this month, it’s also possible that it doesn’t. Always remain skeptical until something is officially announced.

Elden Ring is currently in development for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
