Elden Ring’s Minimum PC Requirements Were Recently Revealed (And Then Unrevealed)

If the prematurely released requirements are anything to go by, Elden Ring's going to be a surprisingly demanding game.

Elden Ring is out in less than two weeks at this point, and though FromSoftware has, of course, been revealing plenty of new information on the upcoming open world action RPG of late, there are some details that remain curiously missing. Crucially, there’s been no word yet on what the game’s system requirements on PC will be.

Interestingly, however, Elden Ring’s Steam page was recently updated with its minimum system requirements being added in again. The information was apparently released prematurely, seeing as it was promptly removed, but courtesy of PC Gamer, we do have those details here- and the game’s minimum requirements are a little more demanding than what you’d expect, especially as compared to previous FromSoftware games. In addition to either an i5 8400 or a Ryzen 3 3300X, you’ll also need a GeForce 1060 or a Radeon RX 580. On top of that, you’ll also need a 12 GB RAM, which is the bit that’ll probably raise some eyebrows.

As for why Bandai Namco took the minimum requirements down, and when exactly the full minimum and recommended specs will be detailed remains to be seen. With Elden Ring launches on February 25, hopefully it won’t be too long before that happens.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
OS:Windows 10, Windows 11
PROCESSOR:Intel Core i5 8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X
MEMORY:12 GB RAM
GRAPHICS:Nvidia GeForce 1060 3GB or AMD Radeon RX 580 4GB
DIRECTX:DirectX 12
STORAGE:60 GB
