The dogfighting portion of Elite Dangerous is now available to purchase separately as Elite Dangerous: Arena. Elite Dangerous: Arena has the same session based PvP structure that the mode has in the full game, as well as the exact same rules, physics, and handling. It is also cross play with players of the full Elite Dangerous game.

Elite Dangerous: Arena is priced at $7.49/£4.99/€6.75, which means that for people who want to get into some space battles, it gives a ridiculously cheap entry point. It is available to purchase now on Steam, as well as on the developer’s website. No word yet on whether Arena will be coming to the Xbox One, which has the full Elite Dangerous game, as well.

You can check out the announcement and launch trailer for Elite Dangerous: Arena for yourself below. Let us know in the comments section if you plan on buying this, or if you would rather stick with the full game for yourself.
