Frontier’s hit space sim game, Elite: Dangerous, was out for PCs late last year, but until now, you had to play it using its own proprietary client; now, the game is available on Steam, meaning you can keep it consolidated with all of your other PC games. If you already own the game, you will be given the option to add it to your library on Steam as well.

Some other good news accompanying this announcement- the long promised and awaited Mac version of the game, currently in beta, has been finally confirmed to be out soon, and when it releases, users will get it for free if they already own the PC version (and vice versa), since the game is a Steam Play title.

The title will cost you $59.99 on Steam, so it’s basically a full price game 9though at least it’s likelier to go on sale now that it is on Steam).
