Atlus’s Etrian Odyssey series is coming back with Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection. Releasing on June 1st for Nintendo Switch and PC, the collection includes HD remasters for Etrian Odyssey, Etrian Odyssey 2 and Etrian Odyssey 3. Each title is also available to purchase separately.
Etrian Odyssey is a mystery dungeon RPG series, with players assembling a party of various classes and exploring dungeons. The twist is that the area is completely unknown, so you’ll need to map them old-school-style. Defeat enemies in turn-based combat, sell the materials, get better equipment, and delve some more.
In terms of new features, the Origins Collection includes touchscreen support on the Nintendo Switch for map mapping (the mouse is used on PC for this purpose, along with general exploration and menu navigation). The soundtrack is remastered, and there are options for choosing the difficulty and multiple save slots. Stay tuned for more details on the collection in the coming months.
