Everwild Is Currently In Pre-Production With Team Of Less Than 50 People

The colorful game probably isn't going to be out for a good while.

Everwild

At X019, we got our first look at the newest IP from Rare in Everwild. The game’s cel-shaded style was quite something to look at and gave us lots of visual treats. However, if you were hoping to get your hands on this soon, well, we probably have some bad news for you.

According to VGC, the game actually is currently just in pre-production, meaning that full development on the title has yet to start. On top of that, it seems that the staff on the game is pretty small having less than 50 people (though that number is expected to grow as development progresses).

Though it’s not clear what the scope of the title is going to be, whether this is a smaller title or meant to be a full retail release, considering all of that it’s most likely that we won’t actually get our hands on this one for a good while. Well, until more information comes out, you can enjoy the gorgeous announcement trailer through here.
