Microsoft has stated to recruit some big name talent to its gaming division over the last few months, suggesting, at last, that the company might be ready to make a commitment to making substantive first party titles, after more than 17 years in the industry. Today, they announced the latest in a line of notable names to have joined their team.

Darrell Gallagher was a Senior Vice President at Activision, and Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics. He has now joined Microsoft Game Studios’ executive leadership team, with more details regarding what this means for Xbox coming at E3 2018.

I can only hope that he is being given a new studio and a large budget to head up an exciting new exclusive for Xbox, in the vein of Zelda or Horizon, which Microsoft has stated are games it would like to something similar to in the past- for now, we wait for E3.
