Exoprimal Guide – How to Farm BikCoins

Almost everything requires BikCoins, from unlocking Exosuits and Modules to purchasing cosmetics. Here's how to get more.

Capcom’s Exoprimal uses BikCoins (a not-so-subtle play on BitCoins), and they have many uses.

Once you unlock Modules, you must purchase and upgrade them with BikCoins (with the cost increasing with each tier). Upgraded Modules are stronger and can often be a difference maker in battles. As you level up, new Exosuits become available for BikCoins. Finally, most of the cosmetics cost BikCoins.

You can obtain BikCoins in several ways, and while there are certainly methods to earn them faster, you’ll still need to play the game. There’s sadly no substitute for the grind.

It’s worth noting that if you purchase the Head Start Kit for $14.99, you can get Unlock Tickets (and exclusive skins) for three Exosuits – Murasame, Nimbus and Vigilant. It saves on having to buy each of them for 5000 BikCoins. A BikCoin saved is a BikCoin, as they probably say. Don’t purchase it if you’ve unlocked those three suits since the tickets will be worthless.

Note that you don’t get any from the Survival Pass, whether the free or Premium tiers. Without further ado, let’s look at all the ways to get BikCoins.

How to Farm BikCoins

Win Matches

While no one queues up to lose a match, there’s an additional incentive to try harder in Exoprimal. Wins give you a 1.3x multiplier to your rewards, which includes XP and BikCoins. So the real question is: How do you go about winning matches?

First, look at your team composition and see what’s missing. If you don’t have any tanks or supports, switch to one before the match begins (Roadblock and Witchdoctor are safe bets). If you’re completing objectives slower than the enemy team, see if there’s an area that can benefit from more damage.

Go Vigilant for single-target, especially against Elites and boss dinosaurs, or Barrage for taking out crowds of enemies. Depending on the support player, it’s often possible to go one tank, three assault and one support in matches.

Even if you lose, don’t worry. You still get BikCoins, but not as much as you would by winning.

Level Up Exosuits

Each Exosuit levels up separately. Along with unlocking suit-specific Modules, which are key to further powering up an Exosuit, you get BikCoins at higher levels. As you level up more, BikCoins are rewarded at more consistent intervals.

Exosuit levels are raised by using them more, but don’t worry if you switch to another during a match – XP earned on the previous Exosuit still counts. Whether the XP multiplier for winning contributes to Exosuit XP is unknown. Regardless, sticking to a single Exosuit is the best way to level them up quickly, but ensure you fill out any missing roles on the team.

Increase Player Level

BikCoins are also awarded upon increasing the Player Level (though only at certain levels). Again, the best way to do this is by winning matches to take advantage of the 1.3x multiplier. However, there is another way for those feeling lucky.

If you progress past the first hour and a half, you can change the Final Mission in Dino Survival’s matchmaking settings. The options are PvE, PvP and Random. Selecting PvE makes the final mission into a race to see which team can complete objectives faster (though you still need to deal with Dominators controlled by the enemy team).

PvP turns the final round into one where you must fight the enemy team. Random makes it so you get matched into PvE or PvP and provides a 1.2x multiplier to XP earned.

If you don’t mind potentially entering a PvP match (and getting steamrolled by the enemy team), choose the Random option. Even if you lose, you’re earning 1.2x XP, so it’s worth it. You can also use PvP matches to switch out Exosuits at different intervals and level up each.

War Chests

Along with BikCoins, increasing your Player Level also awards War Chests at specific intervals. For example, you may get one at level 2, another at level 4 and another at level 7. War Chests are essentially loot boxes – they give cosmetics like Exosuit skins, weapon skins, profile backgrounds, emblems, and whatnot.

However, they can also sometimes provide BikCoins. There are three rarities – 550 (Common), 1200 (Rare) and 7000 (Legendary). Legendary drops are the rarest, and since BikCoin drops are shared with cosmetics in War Chests, the odds of them dropping are low.

Exoprimal is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. It’s also playable on Game Pass.
