Fall Guys Developer Wants the Game on “Every Major Platform”

Don't worry, it will eventually come to Switch and Xbox.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has been a revelation that no one saw coming, and in the few months that it’s been out, it’s quickly become one of the biggest multiplayer games out there today. So far, it’s only out on PC and PS4 (and also playable on PS5 via backward compatibility, of course), but as you’d expect, the developer has plans to bring the game to other platforms as well.

Speaking recently with GamesIndustry, Mediatonic CEO and co-founder Dave Bailey said that the developer intends to bring Fall Guys to “every major problem”, and that the developer is working to that end. There was some confusion recently about Fall Guys coming to Xbox Game Pass (it isn’t), but it’s likely that that’ll eventually end up happening.

“We haven’t said much about the roadmap for this, but what we can say is we want this to reach as many people as possible,” he said. “We want it to come to every major platform, and we’re working hard to achieve that.”

That’s something Mediatonic has mentioned in the past as well, though in August last year, they stated that they wanted to “build trust with the community” first before proceeding to bring the game to other platforms.

Bailey also went on to say that Mediatonic also intends to have cross-platform play be central to their strategy as they look to bring Fall Guys to more platforms in the future.

“We want to come to all the different platforms, and hopefully connect those platforms so people can play together,” he said. “If we do that right, that can be a superpower for other ambitions around original games and that publishing business, too. It’s really propelled everything forward by quite a bit.”

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is currently available on PS4 and PC. The game will be getting a new content drop with a mid-season update soon. Read more on that through here.
