Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Releasing on April 30th for PSN

Get ready to fight the apocalypse's apocalypse.

The year 2007 may have past but it is the year of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon – and it is the future. Focused on cyber-commando Rex Power Colt, you must head to a remote island to face off against Colonel Ike Sloan and stop his rogue cyborg army from taking over the world. Or what’s left of it.

Despite some leaks on PC, Blood Dragon is still very much ready to go for consoles as production manager Philippe Fournier announced on the official PlayStation Blog. It will release for PS3 via PSN on April 30th.

The TV shows and over-the-top action movies of the 80’s and early 90’s have formed a big influence over Blood Dragon’s style and gameplay. And for fans of Far Cry 3, there are plenty of nods to animals, weapons and vehicles that appeared in the original game.

Stay tuned for details regarding an Xbox Live and PC release.
