Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Walkthrough Shows off Gameplay, Insanity

The year is 2007, the future. And it is AWESOME.

Ubisoft Montreal’s upcoming Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is irreverent, insane, over-the-top and by the looks of this new gameplay walkthrough, it looks like tons of fun. The game has you playing as Rex Power Colt as he must battle a renegade cyborg army in “an 80s VHS vision of the future” according to the developer.

The gameplay video shows off the awesome music, produced by the band Power Glove, and even indicates a ton of familiar gameplay elements from the original Far Cry 3. This includes the open world gameplay and systems to go with the robots, quad-barrel shotguns and other horrific consequences of futuristic violence.

The game has been inspired by the 80’s action films and science fiction prevalent at the time, complete with all the cheesiness that followed. Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon will be releasing on PC and Xbox 360 on May 1st worldwide, with the PS3 release in North America on April 30th.
