Ubisoft has released a new Features video for Far Cry 3, focusing on the Rook Islands, and many of the factors governing the lush open terrain. Simply put: it’s awesome. Check out the video below.

Producer Dan Hay narrates some of the more interesting things you can do in this world, including the dynamic nature of fire, along with how it can be used as either a distraction or a means to render your foes homeless.

Of course, you can also crash vehicles into enemies, jump off cliffs and dive into the waters to explore deep-sea terrain, tackle wild animals, rappel across the jungle to shoot down foes and much much more. The Rook Islands overall are extremely varied in their nature, and feature real time weather effects and day-night cycles.

Far Cry 3 is due for release on December 4th in North America and November 30th in the UK for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
