Animal rights? What's that?

Far Cry 4

Ubisoft’s Far Cry 4 will feature some of the same mechanics seen in the previous game along with new additions like the ability to ride elephants. In a new interview with Outside Xbox, creative director Alex Hutchinson talks about some of the more innovative ways to use elephants in the game.

Say you want to blow up a compound but don’t want to risk blowing your cover. Simply throw a sticky C4 on to an elephant, shoot it so that it runs wild and then detonate the C4 to kill enemies in the base. You can also attach C4 to a vehicle, cut the brake line and have it roll into an enemy camp to explode. We’ll go with the animal friendly approach on this one.

Crafting missions will also be making a return but you won’t be killing elephants to create new items. In fact, it seems there will be other ways to craft items.

Far Cry 4 releases on November 18th for North America and Europe on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC. Stay tuned for more info.
