Ubisoft’s Far Cry 5 is out next week and among the many bizarre things you can do in the game, like hiring a bear to fight for you, it’s possible to recruit many Guns for Hire. One such “fang for hire” is Boomer, a dog that will assault enemies, steal their weapons for you and generally act all adorable. Perhaps to market the game to dogs as well, Ubisoft has released a new trailer focusing on Boomer.
The trailer itself sees a sad doggo being ignored by his own who’s playing Far Cry 5. Later, said owner gives the dog a squeaky toy that’s actually an assault rifle and playing with him. Doggo looks happy though we’re not sure if this is low-key training for getting the dog to steal guns.
Regardless, it represents the tongue-in-cheek nature of Far Cry 5 quite well. The game will release on March 27th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Ubisoft recently stated that it would take about 25 hours to finish the campaign though this can be extended depending on how much time you waste fishing.
