Ubisoft’s Far Cry 5 received some new gameplay footage at Gamescom 2017, which actually turned out to be an extended look at elements from the E3 2017 demo. It was mentioned that this was the same demo but there’s plenty of new gameplay here.
For example, after running over an enemy with a tractor, effectively plowing him to death, the player can do some fishing. Because there’s nothing you want to do after committing murder like checking if the fish are biting. Other gameplay includes gun play, dogfighting with the new planes and even taking Boomer on excursions where he frightens a wolf.
Far Cry 5 takes place in Hope County, Montana where the player joins as the new sheriff and must deal with a violent cult that’s trying to take over the region. The player will join the town’s resistance composed of numerous unique NPCs, customize weapons and effectively wage war for survival. Far Cry 5 is out on February 27th 2018 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
