Far Cry VR Dive Into Insanity

Vaas has kind of returned in Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity, an upcoming new VR title that sees players venturing back to the Rook Islands and dealing with the iconic villain. Unfortunately, this is a location-based VR title developed in collaboration with Zero Latency. Check out the trailer below to see what we mean.

Essentially, up to eight players can physically attend a location and don a backpack and headset to actually move around while playing the game. The actual gameplay involves exploring the islands and fighting off baddies before finally escaping. It’s more of a novelty than a full-fledged game so one’s mileage may vary.

Ubisoft Forward is scheduled to kick off at 12 PM PDT and we’ll likely receive new details on Far Cry 6, a true-blue sequel in the franchise. It takes place in the fictional country of Yara, which is in the throes of a coup as the player rallies the rebellion against the dictator Anton Castillo. The open world shooter is out on February 18th 2021 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox Series X, PS5 and Google Stadia.
