Koei Tecmo’s remaster of Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is now available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. Based on the 2008 Nintendo Wii title, it’s a psychological horror title where players must survive against evil ghosts. Check out the release trailer below.
Rogetsu Isle is the story’s setting with three girls – Ruka, Misaki and Madoka – returning years after a mysterious kidnapping incident. With their memories wiped and two other kidnapped victims dead, the trio investigate the island. A detective, Kirishima, also returns to the island in pursuit of a serial killer. As with previous games, players have the Camera Obscura on hand to take on the rampaging spirits.
Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse features improved visuals and controls along with Snap Mode, which allows for taking pictures with different characters and ghosts. Check out our review of the remaster to learn more.
