FIFA 17

As yet another leaked trailer that Electronic Arts chose to release officially, FIFA 17‘s new Journey mode has been revealed.

Unlike previous iterations of FIFA, this actually looks like a bonafide story mode. It revolves around Alex Hunter, a footballer who enters the English Premier League and eventually plays for Manchester United. Managers, expensive homes and whatnot are showcased in cut scenes and multiple characters are seen more than once.

That’s certainly one way to innovate on past games though it remains to be seen how this new Journey mode will pan out when it comes to the actual football.

FIFA 17 is out on September 29th for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC. It will be the first FIFA title to be developed using Frostbite rather than the Ignite Engine. Expect more sports showings at EA’s presser at 1 PM PDT (if it all isn’t leaked before that). Thoughts on the trailer? Let us know below.
