FIFA 16

There are a lot of football plans who probably act out their fantasies of actually participating in the world’s most popular sport by playing EA Sports’ FIFA games. They probably don’t ever expect to be working with the very clubs that they pick and play as in the game as a result of their hobby. But that is exactly what has happened for one 22-year-old David Bytheway, who has signed a contract with German football club VfL Wolfsburg to represent them in eSports gaming events. And what got him noticed by the club to begin with? His skills at FIFA.

“It’s absolutely massive for me the fact that a team like Wolfsburg have gotten involved with gaming,” Bytheway said in an interview with BBC. “It was just something I was doing at home to start with, just playing my friends and wanting to be the best out of them, and all of a sudden I’m a part of a football club.”

Indeed- it’s like me waking up in Hyrule tomorrow with the Triforce of Courage in my hands, to save it from almost certain doom at the hands of Ganon, just because I play Zelda so much. Some people have all the luck in the world.
