While there is very little doubt that Kingdom Hearts 3 is one of the most anticipated games, the makers of the game have to be a bit annoyed that when it comes to the Famitsu list. The game isn’t making a ton of moves after all. At the same time, considering the massive number of games that are coming out this year, Square Enix should be happy that Kingdom Hearts 3 is a title that is strong enough to take up residence in the top 10.
The latest rankings show that it’s currently sitting at 7th place. This particular listing has Dragon Quest XI at the top of the list yet again with Persona 5 sitting in the second spot and Final Fantasy XV is sitting in third. Right behind that particular game is yet another Final Fantasy title in the form of the Final Fantasy VII remake.
It’s interesting to note that the top seven games on the list are almost all either Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest titles, with a few other popular franchises mixed in for good luck. Most of the games on this list do not yet even have release dates. It will be interesting to see what happens when they do start getting closer to release date. As of right now, Final Fantasy 15’s release date will be announced in March whereas Kingdom Hearts 3 does not have a release date yet.
